Greetings, fellow Earthlings.  Thank you for joining us in our effort to address the increased sighting of UFOs in our quilt-making community.  This two-day retreat will be devoted entirely to UFOs.  Those joining will be surrounded by others who have been exposed to similar UFO experiences. This may only be the beginning of a long battle with UFOs but our goal is to leave this retreat with a resolution!  Attendees are asked to bring any UFO evidence that might assist in getting to the bottom of what has clearly become a problem.   While overnight accommodations will not be provided, the UFO Retreat fee will include lunch both Friday and Saturday.  A break for dinner will be allowed Friday evening after which UFO action will resume late into the night.

Provided:

  • Tables to set up your sewing machines and chairs
  • Power strips for plugging in
  • Cutting tables
  • Ironing boards and irons
  • Kitchen

You will need to bring:

  • Sewing Machine* in good working order. Don’t forget your foot pedal & power cord!
  • Chair – If you have a sewing chair you prefer to use you may bring it, otherwise we have plenty.
  • Thread
  • Bobbins
  • Extra needles
  • Seam Ripper
  • Pins
  • Scissors
  • Rotary Cutter
  • Cutting Ruler
  • Cutting Mat (There will be some there if you would rather not bring your own.)

  • Marking tools
  • UFO project(s) of your choosing. Remember patterns, fabrics, rulers, templates, etc… as needed for your project.

More UFO Retreat Fun:

  • Show-and-tell – we love to see your finished projects so bring a favorite for our show-and-tell.
  • Treat Buffett – bring one bag of a small, favorite treat to share with the group (optional).
  • Swap Zone – in locating UFOs, did you come across fabric or patterns you are ready to part with? Bring them to the Swap Zone. You’ll know your treasures are going to another loving quilter’s home and you just might find something else you have to have. Just one rule, if your items aren’t picked up by another retreat member, they must go home with you.
  • Swag, games and prizes!
