A Small Quilt Every Other Month

We are always interested to see what new trends can be found at quilt market.  Currently one of the trends is “small quilts.”  We recently found two books of small quilts that made us all say, “We want to do almost every quilt in the book!”  We know you will want to join us. Starting October and in every other following month, we will be taking a small quilt from one of these two books and kitting it for you. The two books are Cozy Quilts: A Charming Blend of Wool Applique and Cotton Patchwork by Tara Lynn Dar ($26.99) and Civil War Legacies II by Carol Hopkins ($24.99). Each book has its own style and we couldn’t decide between them.  You will get a 15% discount when you purchase the books here at Corn Wagon.  We knew that once you saw the books you would feel the same way  and we wanted to make them affordable to those of you who don’t have a huge stash of reproduction fabrics and wool, or would rather spend your time sewing than finding the perfect fabric or wool in your stash.

We will have a sample of the small quilts we are featuring up at least a month early.  To be guaranteed a kit, you will need to let us know by the 7th of the preceding month whether you want a kit for the upcoming quilt.  The deadline for the October Quilt, Midnight Twinkle, will be Sept. 15th.  The deadline for Gettysburg Sun will be Nov. 7th. Some of the kits require lots of different fabrics or wools and we need time to order fabric, dye wool, and cut the kits.  The kits will then be available the first of the month.  The cost of the kits will vary depending upon the quilt.  We will cut just a few extras beyond those that are requested; but once the kits are gone, we will not cut more kits.

October: Midnight Twinkle (Cozy Quilts) – Kit $24.95 (Size is 14 1/2″ x 18″)

Midnight Twinkle2

December: Gettysburg Sun (Civil War Legacies II) – Kit $49.95  (Size is 30″ x 37″)
