2nd Wednesday of each month –May 13, June 10, July 8, Aug 12 — 6 pm to 8 pm

Instructors: Marsha Harward & Chris Chamberlain

This year our project will be a 12-month Block of the Month program, Secret & Shadows, honoring women from World War I and World War II who risked their lives as spies in service to their country.  We will study a different woman spy as well as make blocks each month.  The finished quilt measures 89” x 89”.  Patterns and projects are exclusive to the club during the calendar year.

Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate

Fee: Returning members $20 and new members $35.

Kits available: One-time payment of $280 (if paid by Jan. 31st -10% discount) or quarterly payments of $70.

◊Hand Applique Club◊


Every Tuesday (except holidays) – 10 am to Noon

Leader: Diana Hess

Come join our FREE Hand Applique Club.  This club is for those who know the basics of hand applique.  This is a great way to improve on your applique skills and spend time appliqueing with good friends. Be sure and bring a notebook to write down all the tips and tricks you will learn.  We will work together to improve our applique skills and get our own projects completed.

Level:  Beginner to Expert

◊Design Divas Embroidery Club◊


3rd Wednesdays, May 20, June 17, July 15, Aug 19– 6-9 pm 

Instructor: Chris Chamberlain

We are working on a project that was started in January and will continue until September.  We have been embroidering beautiful flowers for a vintage flower garden with your embroidery machine. Finished quilt approximately 53” x 56″.  If you didn’t get in on the January project, you are welcome to come join us this summer and just work on your own embroidery project.

Wednesdays, May 27, June 24, July 22, & Aug. 26 – 6 to 9 pm

Instructor: Shannon White

It seems that Pouches are all the rage right now. They can be used for so many things from sewing supplies, kid’s toys, books, makeup and the list goes on and on. In these Pouch class you will be learning ways to put in a zipper, setting snaps, grommets and working with vinyl. In the May class we will be doing the Open Wide Zippered Pouch. The finished size is 6” high, 6 ½” wide and 4” deep. Shannon is known far and wide for her bags and pouches. If you haven’t taken a class from her, you have really missed a fun learning experience.

Mikhail Gorbechev said, “The phenomenon of UFOs does exist, and it must be treated seriously.”

Whether you are part of a UFO Challenge or just have a project or two laying around waiting to be finished, please join us each month and make some progress on your UFOs.

Modern Building Blocks – May 9, June 13, July 11, & August 8th – 10-11 am.

Instructor:  Jen Tanner

Traditional quilt blocks built from a modern mix of bold Moda Bella Solid Colors come together in an assymetrical 84” x 96” quilt.  Blocks range in size from a whopping 36” to tiny 6” squares!  Join our monthly Mod Squad for a one hour class full of instruciton, tips, tricks, and Q & A to help you build 2-4 blocks per month for this eye-catching quilt.

Level: Intermediate to advanced.

Fee: $15.95 per month for 14 months.

Monday, June 15, Wednesday June 17 & Friday, June 19 – 10 am to 1 pm

Come learn some basic quilting techniques and make a super fun quilt for yourself! Bring your sewing machine (or reserve one of ours), the supplies that are on the supply list and a sack lunch with a drink. This quilt is 52” x 65”.

Come learn the art of wool dyeing. We will cover the basics: wool selection, what dyes to use, how to get the colors you like. The class will be held at Marianne’s home dyeing studio. No supplies will be needed. If you would like, you may bring a small piece of wool to dye.

These tuffets are soooo much fun!!!  Not just to look at, but to make, too.  I find myself wanting to make dozens of combinations.  Every one of them turns out wonderful.

◊Quilting Basics 101◊


Thursdays, July 9, July 16, & July 23 to 5 to 8 pm

Instructor: Chris Chamberlain

Learn basic quilt making skills and make an awesome wall hanging from start to finish. You will learn about rotary cutting, accurate 1/4″ seams, pressing seams and adding borders. You also will learn about batting, making a quilt sandwich, quilting by machine, and binding your quilt. Size: Approx. 36″x36″

Level: Beginner

Fee: $60 (Kits available $34.95 Includes front, back, batting & binding)

Note: There can be a 4th class, if needed, for an additional $20.

Have you ever said, “I LOVE making quilts, it’s picking out the fabrics that I struggle with!” Well, you’re not alone! Join us for 2 hours of instruction, inspiration, and hands-on experience in coordinating fabrics for quilt making. With a background in interior design, Jen Tanner will cover design elements such as pattern, texture, scale & color, color, COLOR. Every quilt is a study in textile selection and coordination. Don’t be afraid to explore the possibilities!

Learn some tricks for curbed piecing while making this cute scrappy quilt. Use a variety of brights or bring your own scraps to create this quilt with “curve” appeal.

Class Policies

  • Class sizes will be a maximum of 12 and a minimum of 4 students for a class to be held.
  • Class fees must be paid at time of registration. NO REFUNDS! Your spot in a class will not be held unless you have paid. EXCEPTION: Refund or store credit will be given if we cancel the class.
  • A limited number of kits are available for some classes. Kits must be pepaid for at least 7 days in advance of the class.
  • Basic sewing supplies are required in most classes. A supply list will be made available for applicable classes.
  • Classes will start on time.
  • For safety reasons, no children please.

Holiday/Summer Camps for kids and teens held at Corn Wagon Quilt Co. Classes are for 6 years old and older Small class sizes – 8 student maximum $15 per hour, $12.50 w/friend or $10 per student if signed up with 2 or more friends.
