◊ National Sew a Jelly Roll Day ◊

A.K.A. PROJECT: Jelly Roll

Saturday, September 16  – 10 am to 6 pm

Location: The Gathering Place on Hobble Creek (385 S. 400 E. Springville – Lower Level)

Instructors: Chris Chamberlain

Recent studies have shown that many quilters collect Jelly Rolls (precut 2 1/2″ strips of a favorite fabric collection) without knowing what to do with them. The Jelly Roll is left in its original packaging and stacked on the shelf to gather dust.  Many quilters report that they’re waiting for a special reason or occasion to break out the Jelly Roll and use it for a project. We know of a fabulous reason!

Join us for the first annual National Sew a Jelly Roll Day!  Bring your Jelly Roll, any additional fabrics and a Jelly Roll friendly pattern you have wanted to sew.  Moda’s Bakeshop has some great Jelly Roll friendly patterns.  or stop by the shop to see some ideas! Make something for yourself, a gift or for charity! We are going to have a Potluck Lunch; so bring a salad, goodie, or other favorite to share.  This event is coming right up and seats are limited so reserve your spot soon!

Level: Beginner & Up

Instructor Fee: $25.00

  • You do not need to stay in Time Out for the full time  – – but of course you’re welcome to!
  • Bring a lunch if you plan to stay in Time Out through lunch or sneak off for lunch and come back. You can even bring it back and eat it here with friends!

Retreat Leaders:  Jen Tanner and Chris Chamberlain

BREAKING NEWS:  The UFO (Un-Finished Object) sightings continue in and around Utah County.  Corn Wagon Quilt Co’s past UFO Retreats have been such a success we have resolved to take further action.  Lead investigator, Chris Chamberlain, is quoted as saying, “The mysteries surrounding these UFOs continue to unfold.  We must be diligent in our efforts toward a piece-ful resolution.”  Eye-witness, Jen Tanner, agrees, “While progress has been made, we can do sew much more!”  Further action will include a two-day retreat for those affected by the UFO sightings.  Energy will be devoted entirely to addressing the UFOs (and eating goodies).  Those joining will be surrounded by others who have been through similar UFO experiences. Attendees are asked to bring any UFO evidence that might assist in getting to the bottom of what has clearly become a problem.   While overnight accommodations will not be provided, the UFO Retreat fee will include lunch both Friday and Saturday, games, prizes, aforementioned goodies and lots of fun.  A break for dinner will be allowed Friday evening after which UFO action will resume late into the night.  As UFOs have become a growing concern among our community and space is limited, we recommend reserving your seat early!

Skill Level: Anyone Sighting UFO’s

Retreat Fee: $89 per person
