◊First Annual Art City Quilt Retreat◊

Spend the weekend with Norma Whaley!

August 15 & 16 at 10am-4pm at the Springville Museum of Art

Trunk Show 7:00 pm on Friday, August 15th at Corn Wagon Quilt Co.

Instructor: Norma Whaley of Timeless Traditions

If attending a quilt retreat with Norma Whaley of Timeless Traditions is on your bucket list then you are in luck!  You can cross that off when you attend our first annual Corn Wagon’s Art City Quilt Retreat August 15th and 16th.  Spend the weekend with Norma learning her tips and techniques and learn what inspires her wonderful designs. She has a brand NEW design that will be first available and released at this retreat!  You will be the FIRST to have this pattern called ‘Garden Whimsy’!  (Need a closer look?  She has photo’s of her blocks on her blog: They are beautiful.)

Garden Whimsy taught on Friday, August 15th: This is her new pattern which Norma designed especially for teaching at Corn Wagon.  The theme is whimsical with a bit of the garden as the center theme.  Interwoven in the circular blocks, you will find words to live by.  The blocks are mostly applique from cottons and a bit of wool for accents.

Silent Night taught on Saturday, August 16th:  A Winter row quilt depicting some of winters activities. There is a row with father Christmas with all of the woodland animals gathered around him.  In another row there is a church with an angel overhead, keeping watch.  A skier can be found under a full moon on still another row.  And what would a winter quilt be without snowmen and children sledding.  All of these scenes have a backdrop of woodland scenes and cabins.  The quilt is made of wool and has a log cabin border from homespuns.
