◊ Time Out at the Wagon ◊

Every Wednesday (except holidays or when notified) – 10 am to 2 pm

Leader: Varies depending on who needs Time Out.

Put yourself on “Time Out” at the Wagon.  At times we all need time out from housework, phone calls, and everyday responsibilities.  Come to “Time Out at the Wagon” and do just that. Marsha is looking forward to being on “Time Out” and hopes lots of you will join her.

Bring whatever you might be working on—quilting, stitching, knitting, crocheting, or whatever you enjoy doing.

Maybe you just want to sit on “Time Out” and stare off into space—that is permitted.

There is no charge for sitting and visiting on Time Out.  Bring a friend because sitting on Time Out with friends is the best.  You do not need to stay on Time Out for the full time.

Bring a lunch if you plan to stay on Time Out through lunch or sneak off for lunch and come back or bring it back and eat it here with friends.

◊UFO 2-DAY RETREAT◊

Friday, August 4th – 10 am to 6 pm (1 hour dinner break) 7:30 to 11 pm or so

Saturday, August 5th – 10 am to 7 pm

Retreat Leaders:  Chris Chamberlain and Jen Tanner

Location: The Gathering Place on Hobble Creek (385 S. 400 E. Springville – Lower Level)

BREAKING NEWS:  The UFO (Un-Finished Object) sightings continue in and around Utah County.  Corn Wagon Quilt Co’s past UFO Retreat was such a success we have resolved to take further action.  Lead investigator, Chris Chamberlain, is quoted as saying, “The mysteries surrounding these UFOs continue to unfold.  We must be diligent in our efforts toward a piece-ful resolution.”  Eye-witness, Jen Tanner, agrees, “While progress has been made, we can do sew much more!”  Further action will include a two-day retreat for those affected by the UFO sightings.  Energy will be devoted entirely to addressing the UFOs (and eating goodies).  Those joining will be surrounded by others who have been through similar UFO experiences. Attendees are asked to bring any UFO evidence that might assist in getting to the bottom of what has clearly become a problem.   While overnight accommodations will not be provided, the UFO Retreat fee will include lunch both Friday and Saturday, games, prizes, aforementioned goodies and lots of fun.  A break for dinner will be allowed Friday evening after which UFO action will resume late into the night.  As UFOs have become a growing concern amongst our community and space is limited, we recommend reserving your seat early.

Skill Level: Anyone Sighting UFO’s

Retreat Fee: $89 per person

◊ Baltimore Woods in Wool Block of the Month◊

Started March 1st

Pattern used and designed by Yvette Marie Jones of Vetmari, LLC

In this 12-month Block of the Month, you will be picking up from the shop and making a block for the “Baltimore Wood” quilt, but instead of needle turned applique, you will be doing wool applique.  We love the dimension and ease of wool applique.  It takes this incredible quilt up a notch.  We have also reduced the size of this quilt a little.  The finished size is 54” square.  Marianne Michaels spotted the original Baltimore Woods by, Yvette Marie Jones of Vetmari, LLC with Pink Hippo Designs (which will be used and included in this BOM) in cotton at Quilt Market and home she went to start hand-dying wools. She has whipped up a slightly smaller, wool appliqué version of this eye catching quilt! Call or come in to sign up for this beautiful Block of the Month.

Sign-Up Fee: $25.00

Cost: $25.99 per month
