It's been so popular, we're bringing back one of Wendy Williams' colorful works of art as a block of the month beginning June 1st. This ten-month program is dedicated to making the bright and beautiful Around the Corner quilt. Stretch your quilting skills as you learn wool applique, needle turn applique, foundation applique, paper piecing, seminole piecing, flying geese and curved piecing. Join us for this intermediate, skill building block of the month. A class is included every third Tuesday here at our school house from 3:00 - 4:00 each month where Marianne will demo the techniques used and you can ask questions and get help as the program continues. Space is limited.

Join us for the Homegrown Block of the Month designed by Sue Spargo. This quilt features rows of beautiful houses, each intricate and unique. Trees and flowers, with heavy embellishment, finish off this amazing wool and cotton applique quilt. The finished quilt measures approximately 41" x 41". Each month you will receive a kit with a portion of the blocks to make the finished quilt. Kits will include wool, cotton and silk pieces to complete each block. This is a 12 month Block of the Month (BOM) program.

Cost: $ 10.00
This anticipated BOM will be following the book "Hope's Journey" (by Betsy Chutchian). Taught by (our very own) Tami Johnson. This 13 chapter book will be a fast paced journey to a completed sampler quilt using up your accumulated fabric stash and scraps. The HOPE is that you complete your JOURNEY (quilt) in just 7 months. Each chapter consists of 2-4 pieced blocks and each class time will cover one chapter of the book with 1 1-1/2 hours available for cutting and sewing. This is a JOURNEY you will definitely want to join, as you sew with friends, learn new skills and complete a classic quilt reminiscent of bygone days.

We are excited to once again join forces with Amy McClellan of Under The Garden Moon to bring her Saturday Sampler to Corn Wagon Quilt Co! Click the heading or photo to see pictures of each month's blocks as they are revealed. Amy has designed an original mystery quilt pattern for our shop as part of a 12 month program. We can't show you what the finished quilt will look like but we can share the fabric palette we have worked together to coordinate. We can also tell you the finished quilt includes several different blocks, so like Amy's past Saturday Samplers, this quilt will be a skill building program where you will be introduced to different tools, products and techniques. You will learn LOTS! You will be challenged! You will practice skills that may be new to you! You will have fun! Chris Chamberlain will teach monthly block demos with an occasional spotlight feature from Amy!
