Classes at the Corn Wagon Quilt Co. are held in our new, state-of-the-art School House at Corn Wagon Too. Class sizes are currently reduced to allow proper social distancing. Masks are encouraged. General class guidelines are as follows: Class fees must be paid at time of registration. NO REFUNDS. Your spot in a class will not be held unless you have paid. EXCEPTION: Refund or store credit will be given if class is cancelled. Registration for individual classes and retreats will close 2 days prior to the class date. A limited number of kits are available for some classes. Kits must be paid for in advance of the class. Receive 20% off regular price supplies when you mention they are for a specific class at the register! Classes will start on time. For safety reasons, no children please. It's been so popular, we're bringing back one of Wendy Williams' colorful works of art as a block of the month beginning June 1st. This ten-month program is dedicated to making the bright and beautiful Around the Corner quilt. Stretch your quilting skills as you learn wool applique, needle turn applique, foundation applique, paper piecing, seminole piecing, flying geese and curved piecing. Join us for this intermediate, skill building block of the month. A class is included every third Tuesday here at our school house from 3:00 - 4:00 each month where Marianne will demo the techniques used and you can ask questions and get help as the program continues. Space is limited.

The Bonnie & Camille Shine On Sampler Block of the Month is HERE at the Corn Wagon! Sign-up now for this darling BOM that starts in January. The Shine On Monthly kits will be made using the B&C Shine On fabric and coordinating solids (you will have all the fabric you need for the quilt top and binding). You will be meeting the first Wednesday of the month for 12-months, gathering together, showing-off blocks, learning new techniques, having a treat and hanging out for a couple of hours and sewing! There is nothing like sewing with friends-- so come be ours!

Back by popular demand! Friendly Jack-o-lanterns are cleverly costumed and ready for a Haunting Halloween in this wonderful wool applique quilt by Buttermilk Basin. This ten month program will provide you with one or two blocks each month complete with patterns, cotton backgrounds and hand-dyed, felted wool for applique for this 61" x 71" quilt top. Space is limited.

This anticipated BOM will be following the book "Hope's Journey" (by Betsy Chutchian). Taught by (our very own) Tami Johnson. This 13 chapter book will be a fast paced journey to a completed sampler quilt using up your accumulated fabric stash and scraps. The HOPE is that you complete your JOURNEY (quilt) in just 7 months. Each chapter consists of 2-4 pieced blocks and each class time will cover one chapter of the book with 1 1-1/2 hours available for cutting and sewing. This is a JOURNEY you will definitely want to join, as you sew with friends, learn new skills and complete a classic quilt reminiscent of bygone days.

We are excited to once again join forces with Amy McClellan of Under The Garden Moon to bring her Saturday Sampler to Corn Wagon Quilt Co! Click the heading or photo to see pictures of each month's blocks as they are revealed. Amy has designed an original mystery quilt pattern for our shop as part of a 12 month program. We can't show you what the finished quilt will look like but we can share the fabric palette we have worked together to coordinate. We can also tell you the finished quilt includes several different blocks, a handful of which include applique, so like Amy's past Saturday Samplers, this quilt will be a skill building program where you will be introduced to tools, products and techniques. You will learn LOTS! You will be challenged! You will practice skills that may be new to you! You will have fun! One of our great Corn Wagon instructors will teach monthly block demos with an occasional spotlight feature from Amy! THIS BOM IS SOLD OUT.

From Border Creek Station comes the Quilter's Inspiration Mystery Quilt! Like years past, we can promise you'll love the beautiful quilt you will finish through this program. This queen size quilt project offers the chance to choose between two fabric collections; Memoirs by 3 Sisters or Breeze by Zen Chic. Class meetings will include block demos, delicious refreshments, recipes, show-and-tell and lots of fun with quilting friends!

This exclusive new block of the month club is unique in that you will be able to choose your own fabric and your own setting. Your finished quilt will be one of a kind! We will focus monthly demonstrations on learning several techniques for making HSTs (half square triangles AKA Happy Sexy Triangles) while piecing 14 specialty blocks made completely of HSTs . You can coordinate your quilt using three or four colors or it can be scrappy (example: several different reds would count as one color). Then to make it even more personal, there are three fabulous settings to choose from! Your monthly class dues will include an allowance of $215.00 total on a gift card to use at the shop for fabric and supplies that YOU get to choose! If you have never pieced a quilt, this 8-part, 4-month class is for you! We will start from the beginning with basic cutting skills and accurate seam measurement. There will be eight different quilt blocks taught during the class, each with it's own unique techniques. You will make one block each week in class with teacher supervision, then more of the same block will be made at home as practice to perfect your skills. If you have quilted for some time and would like to learn many tips and tricks to make your piecing more accurate, this is also the class for you! It is an enjoyable hands-on experience. When finished, you will have a beautiful 72" x 84" sampler quilt made from 42 traditional quilt blocks. Bonus patterns and ideas such as how to start with a simple block then make one tiny change to create an entirely new look or what to do with leftover half square triangles or flip corner remnants. This delightful weekly club is for anyone who would like to work on a hand stitching project while learning new hand stitching skills. We will learn a-stitch-a-week! This is a great opportunity to finish our own projects and relax with a fun gathering of sewing friends every Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. - Noon. No fee to attend. Simply come and join us!

Instead of letting those shirts sit in a drawer, you can breathe new life into them by turning them into a T-shirt quilt. This all-day class, taught by Cheryl Wallin, will go over everything you need to know to create your own heirloom T-shirt quilt. This class will sell-out quickly, so register now!

Have you noticed the beautiful new Barn Quilts on our shop's exterior? Learn how to paint your favorite quilt block into a barn quilt inspired by the folk art finishing techniques of long ago with designer Abby Hicks! Kits will include a 22" sq. planked board, patterns, paints, brushes, pens and finish. You will come away from this class with a finished barn quilt and the know-how to paint your many quilts on wood.

If you fell in love with the Poppins Bag that Shelley taught last year, this new Mini Poppins Bag (by Aunties Two Patterns) is going to be impossible to resist. Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet has done it again and designed an absolutely darling quilt using her Prim fabric and Prim Sew Simple Shapes. In this class you will learn how to use Thangles to make perfect half square triangles. We all need a little color to brighten our day!

You can choose from 3 different sizes for this quilt: 58" x 58", 43" x 43" or 29" x 29" before borders. Depending on your fabric choices, there are endless possibilities for the look of this quilt. The Wool + Wax Tote, is a beautiful, sleek, generous bag that will look great with anything and will keep your must-have essentials close at hand. The pattern is by Noodlehead Designs. The class will be taught by Shelley Taylor and is perfect for a beginner. NO ZIPPERS! The tote has a slip pocket inside and divided pockets on the front. You can use leather handles, fabric or cotton webbing. You will also learn how to install rivets on the front of the bag giving it a little bling. Rivets are optional and they will be provided in class at a nominal fee. (The pattern recommends using waxed canvas, this is totally optional) Pick up your pattern at Corn Wagon and start collecting your supplies.

Learn the basics of wool applique and embellishment while making this stunning pomegranate needle keep or journal cover. This class is taught by the incredibly talented, Marianne Michaels. In this class you will learn Marianne's tried and true wool applique techniques and then have fun exploring wool embellishment stitches like, couching, bullions, Pekinese stitch, beading, drizzle stich and MORE! If you want to take your wool projects to the next level, then this is the class for you!

Do you love little pouches? The Zipped Basket Pouch, a pattern by Aneela Hoey, opens wide to easily see what's inside, when not in use, it zips up securely for storage. The pouch comes in two sizes and very fat quarter friendly! The best thing about it is, it's all done in straight seams making this a great choice if you are new to intermediate pouch patterns. Have confidence with teacher, Shelley Taylor as you learn how to sew a separating zipper and other skills. The choice is yours which size you would like to make in class.

S.A.B.L.E stands for Stash Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy. It's real. We know from experience and we want to help you out! Saturday, September 26th we are hosting a S.A.B.L.E Sale in our Corn Wagon Too parking lot! Rent a parking stall for $25 and set up shop 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with fabric, patterns, kits, notions - - anything quilting related that you're wiling to part with. You set your own prices and manage your own transactions for your own S.A.B.L.E Sale! You can even get a group of friends who are also affected by S.A.B.L.E. syndrome and share a space! We'll get the word out! You bring the goods!

With the holidays fast approaching we want you to ♫ "Sew it all - Sew it all - Sew it all the way!" ♫ Think of this Sew-It-All event as a Santa's Workshop where you can bring all your last minute Christmas sewing and, well, SEW-IT-ALL! $65 includes lunch both days so you can sew non-stop at our retreat center. You will also receive a Sew-It-All pass good for exclusive discounts at the shop during the event! Bring any sewing project that needs finishing and Chris & Jen will be there to lend advice and help you trouble shoot.
