You can make this 80" x 88" traditional quilt in a fun, fast, and accurate way! Use EasyPiecing Border Panels by TenSisters Handicraft to create your heirloom. With this design, you can choose each row to be a different fabric, or repeat your favorites! Instructor Heather Dunn works closely with and makes samples for Carmen Geddes, creator of the EasyPiecing Grid and she's excited to share with you just how easy it is to piece these 2" finished squares using a technique that guarantees perfectly nesting corners and a flat stable quilt top.

Fabric:
You can choose each row to be a different fabric, or repeat your favorites!  Here is an option for figuring out your fabric:
After the center 4 squares, each row increases by FOUR squares; 4, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54; all the way to 118 squares for the last row. This is helpful when you count squares!

CUT the 2.5 inch strip the width of fabric (WOF.) Each strip yields about 16 squares.
CUT 2.5” SQUARES
Rows 1-3: one 2.5” strip WOF (4-14 squares)
Rows 4-7: two 2.5” strip WOF (18-30 squares)
Rows 8-11: three 2.5” strip WOF (34-46 squares)
Rows 12-15: 1/3 yd (50-62 squares)
Rows 16-28: ½ yd (66-114 squares)
