Your child will enjoy a fun and relaxing atmosphere, while learning basic quilt-making techniques. The class has three sessions at 4 hours each to complete the quilt top. The quilt size is 64" x 76". Instruction sewing the binding is also included.
Sample quilt and kits will be made using a combination of the Flour Garden line of fabrics by Moda and Homestead Life by Windham (see below). Kits are available to purchase separately for $79.99 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In order to simplify the pattern, we will be skipping the strip piecing steps and going straight to sewing the triangles. There will be prep that will need to be done at home before your child starts the class (having all the triangles cut). You can use the triangle template provided with the free pattern or purchase and use the Creative Grids 60 degree 8" finished triangle ruler (available at the Corn Wagon). If you need any help with the prep, please contact Chris, your instructor, before class.
