QUILT CLASS: TALL TALES BLOCK
The Tall Tales block is small but so, so cute! These blocks are foundation paper pieced to make them super accurate and easy to put together. Angie's tips and tricks will make this foundation paper piecing a breeze -- before you know it, you'll have more books than you can read!
In this class, Angie will demonstrate how to make a block as you sew yours, so you will have all the hands-on instruction you need. The blocks are easier the more you do them, so you should bring enough for a few blocks!
FINISHED SIZE: 4" x 6 1/2" block (excludes borders)
BLOCK REQUIREMENTS:

Tall Tales template -- available only from Kate Basti's website (highly recommended)

(1) 6" x 6" (or larger) block to fussy cut for book cover
- (1) 3" x 6" for book binding
- (1) 2" x 5" for back of book
- (1) 2 1/2" x width of fabric for background

Sewing machine with 1/4" foot

Basic sewing supplies (scissors, thread, pins, seam ripper, rotary cutter, ruler, binding clips, etc.)

| Instructor Bio: | I have loved to create all of my life. As a little girl, I watched my Mom sewing cabbage patch doll clothes, quilts and matching dresses. She taught me to sew as a teenager. With over 25 years experience, quilting has become a love of color, design and the delight of creating something by hand. I love the entire process, pulling the fabrics, the first cut, piecing and even hand stitching the binding. I cherish the friendships I have gained along the way. I couldn't have known the value sewing would bring into my life when I took the plunge and bought a Bernina all those years ago. In addition to sewing, I adore time with my family, photography, photoshop design and decorating. |
