BAG CLASS: HEMINGWAY POUCH
Have you seen the viral Hemingway Pouch by Center Street Quilts on social media? Our instructor, Shelley Taylor, has been making them in so many ways -- using quilted cotton, vinyl, jelly vinyl, and even using the cast-offs from the pouch to make a second bag. They're perfect for protecting your tablet, bringing your book on the go, or toting supplies from place to place. Come and get all the tips and tricks and make some of these fun bags for yourself or for gifts!
*Please note: Children 12+ may register but must have an adult accompanying them who is also registered in the class.
FINISHED SIZE (large): 9" x 12" (can fit up to 8" x 10")
*Please note: small, medium, and extra large sizes are also available in the pattern
BAG REQUIREMENTS:
- Hemingway Pouch pattern by Center Street Quilts
- Main fabric: 1 FQ
- Lining fabric: 1 FQ
- Accent fabric: 1/4 yd.
- Foam stabilizer (Soft & Stable): 21" x 18"
- Zipper: 24" or longer
Vinyl will be available for purchase from Shelley at the class.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Sewing machine with 1/4" foot
- Basic sewing supplies (scissors, thread, pins, seam ripper, rotary cutter, ruler, binding clips, etc.)
- Nonstick sewing machine foot (recommended)
- Stiletto (recommended)
- Glue Stick (recommended)
- Wonder clips (recommended)
- Chalk pen (recommended)
- Portable ironing board & mini iron (recommended)

This technique will not be taught in class but could be prepared ahead of time with a little creativity!
