I'm going to keep it brief today with a simple expression of gratitude. As a small, local quilt shop, we've shared the uncertainty felt by small businesses around the world during the pandemic. We chose to move forward cautiously with open hearts and hope. We have been overwhelmed by your support! Your many messages of encouragement and thanks have lifted us. You have continually inspired us with your creations. Your efforts to provide masks to the community -- phenomenal! We joke all the time that sewing is our therapy. Has it ever been so proven? Through days of seclusion, the art of quilting has supplied smile after smile. Saying we appreciate you is an understatement. Thank you for being a friend of the Corn Wagon Quilt Co.!
We have so enjoyed staying connected during all of this, especially through creative online avenues (hello, Facebook Live world!) but we can hardly wait to greet you face to face again (okay, mask to mask for the time being). The shop just hasn't been the same without the usual gatherings at the wagon. Our classroom and retreat center has felt especially empty. With Utah officially entering our "yellow," lower risk stage of recovery we are happy to open the doors of our School House again! We will slowly be adding classes back to our schedule beginning with Time Out at the Wagon! This is our open sew time available every Wednesday, 10am - 4pm, in our School House. You can bring any sewing project and your own machine or you can reserve one of our classroom Berninas and put yourself in "time out." It's free and there's no need to register. Just come and sew! We will practice social distancing keeping 6' between individuals. We highly encourage the use of face masks. Disinfecting wipes will be available. Stay tuned for more updates as we gradually move forward with classes and events!
This multifaceted beauty features jewel-tones from Laundry Basket Quilt's gorgeous Linen Textures collection. Chris Chamberlain did a stellar job piecing all those stars and Emily Herrick contributed stunning custom machine quilting. Notice how Chris pieced the binding with remaining colors from the stars to continue the spectrum around the edge! The pattern is Illuminate
by Edyta Sitar. Our kits include cotton fabrics for piecing the top and binding as shown as well as the pattern for $124.99. It's available in-store now!
Back by popular demand! This nostalgic wool block-of-the-month has been in high demand. So much so, we're opening a second go-round! Friendly Jack-o-lanterns are cleverly costumed and ready for a Haunting Halloween in this wonderful wool applique quilt by Buttermilk Basin. This ten-month program will provide you with one or two blocks each month complete with patterns, cotton backgrounds and hand-dyed, felted wool for applique for this 61" x 71" quilt top. Threads not included. You will need to be familiar with basic wool applique skills to make this quilt as there is not a class included in this block of the month. Simply pick up your kit after the 1st of each month here at the shop beginning in June. Shipping is available for an additional fee. $10.00 sign-up fee due upon registration. $32.99 per month for 10 months due upon kit pick-up each month. This club is a non-refundable ten-month commitment. Registration is open NOW and space is very limited so register today by clicking here or give us a call at the shop.

Another BOM that's been so popular, we're bringing it back: Wendy Williams' colorful work of art will begin for new club members beginning June 1st. This ten-month program is dedicated to making the bright and beautiful Around the Corner quilt. Stretch your quilting skills as you learn wool applique, needle turn applique, foundation applique, paper piecing, seminole piecing, flying geese and curved piecing. Join us for this intermediate, skill building BOM. A $10 sign-up fee is due upon registration. Monthly kits will be $44.99 per month due upon pick-up. Shipping is available for an additional charge. Monthly kits curated by Marianne Michaels will include the pattern plus all cottons and hand-dyed, felted wools necessary to complete the top for this incredible 86" x 86" masterpiece. Threads are not included. A class is included every third Tuesday here at our school house from 3:00 - 4:00, where Marianne will demo the techniques used and you can ask questions and get help as the program continues. This club is a non-refundable ten-month commitment. Registration is open NOW and space is very limited. Register today by clicking here or give us a call at the shop.

Bring a project and sew the day away with friends here at the shop. We will be practicing social distancing and recommend wearing a mask. We look forward to sewing with you again!
