We're going Back to School at the Wagon! Monday, August 17th - Saturday, August 22nd, visit our quilt shop and mercantile for our Back-to-School Event! Just like the first day of school, our shop will be dressed in it's best new attire with fun new school-themed samples, displays & gift items. Take note! We have new classes on our schedule for fall semester. Whether you're seeking elementary basics or your PHD in quilt-making, you'll always learn something new at the Corn Wagon School House. Need "school supplies?" Enjoy 20% off class supplies and 25% off one regular price item of your choice! This event happens to coincide with our local school district's first day of school, so moms can come in for some much needed "me time" at this special event (We see you!). And for those educators we know have been working extra hard to welcome students back, we're staying open late on Friday, August 21st! We'll keep our doors open until 8:00 p.m. for a special teachers night out. Those of you who work in education, wear your faculty ID into the shop that evening for an extra little gift from the Corn Wagon. We want to say thanks for all you do, especially during these unique and challenging times!
These are just a few of the fun things you'll find during our Back to School week. You may have seen our Back to School Facebook Live Sale yesterday where we introduced you to lots of school themed projects. If not, hop over to our Facebook page to watch the broadcast anytime. How fun are these two unique pencil quilts?! Saved by the Bell (top right) is a clever quilt that looks just like a giant spiral notebook complete with tabs. The pattern is a free download from Studio e Fabrics! Our kit includes fabrics featuring keyboards, backpacks, rulers, scissors and of course pencils to piece the 68" x 80" top and binding for $155.99. Nothing says school like fresh yellow pencils with pink erasers. They make a bold statement on our Pointless quilt (bottom left) -- that's right -- it's called Pointless because these pencils are, well... pointless. Ha ha! Kits for this quilt include the one-of-a-kind pattern by Running Doe Quilts, all fabrics necessary for the 52" x 61" quilt top and binding for $49.99. We have fabrics for any student from brainy scientists to creative artists. Oh, and how about an apple for the teacher? Plus you'll find fun gifts at the Quilter's Mercantile like these fabulous ruler bangles or school break countdown blocks -- because while we're happy about back-to-school, we're already counting down the days until fall break.
And now for the quilt you've all been waiting for (drumroll, please...) Our Utah Shop Hop 2020 (that wasn't) Schoolhouse Quilt!
Emily Herrick designed this classic quilt exclusively for Corn Wagon Quilt Co. as and ode to our newly established Schoolhouse Classroom. The moment we saw the Good Times
collection by American Jane, we knew it was the perfect fabric for our School House theme. Vintage ginghams and florals in Sandy Klopp's signature primary color palette took us back to our days walking to school in our knee socks, uphill, both ways. Wink wink. You'll find kits for our Schoolhouse quilt at the shop and on our website
! See this quilt (and many more) on display for the first time during our Back to School event next week. CORN DAYS - Saturday, August 15th

Last Saturday was the BIG REVEAL for our Saturday Sampler 2019/20 Mystery Quilt!
Chris Chamberlain did a great job teaching & piecing our quilt titled Trust the Journey
. The name of each block is either a place on the map or means of travel with a central compass block to guide the way. Emily Herrick did a beautiful job with custom quilting. Each block is SEW unique! Thank you Amy McClellan, for designing this quilt for the Corn Wagon & thank you to all those who joined us on this year's Saturday Sampler journey. Click here
to view all of the blocks from this quilt. We have LOTS of great options set aside for backing and binding. We can't wait to see your finished quilts!
Registration is now open through the end of August
for our next Saturday Sampler
mystery quilt designed once again by Amy McClellan. We can't show you what the finished quiot will look like but we can share this wonderful fabric bundle pulled to represent the palette and style of our next Saturday Sampler quilt. The theme for 2020/21 is Volumes.
You'll notice a few low volume hints in the mix! We will be meeting the second Saturday of each month beginning October 10th.
Visit our website
under classes for full details and to register before the cut-off date the end of August.

Bring your quilt blocks and sewing machines to our retreat center and work on your quilt (whatever stage it may be in). Set-up begins at 5:30. This includes Monday at the Merc, Wednesday's Word and Wrong Price Wednesday (fat qtr sale) and Stuff-a-Bag Sale. We anticipate the return of these sales when Utah enters it's "green" phase of Covid-19 recovery.
