It's Sew Shannon! Have you met her? Check out her cute curated bundle!

Have you met my friend, Shannon? Let me introduce you to a woman with an infectious smile (it must be those dimples) and a knack for party planning and displays. You may know her as It's Sew Shannon from her Instagram account or The Bag Lady from her many years of teaching fun bag classes. Shannon White has been our friend here at the Corn Wagon for over 11 years and we are lucky to have her currently managing Corn Wagon Too including our Quilter's Mercantile and Retreat Center!

Shannon credits an unforgettable Home Ec teacher, Mrs. Manwarring, for inspiring her love of sewing. While she considers herself a first generation quilter, she recently related this endearing tale at her latest trunk show. She recalls her grandmother making a Lonestar quilt for her trousseau and Shannon had the honor of marking and cutting (with scissors, mind you) many diamonds from scrap fabrics using a cardboard template. A sweet memory, to be sure, that was rekindled recently when she received a call from a woman in Southern Utah. While cleaning out closets she found a diamond shaped cardboard template with Shannon's grandmother's name in script. Shannon hopped in the car and met to pick up the treasure which, to her delight, also had written on it the layout instructions for the Lonestar quilt in her grandmother's handwriting. What a precious notion to hold all these years later, especially for Shannon who has now made hundreds of her own quilts, taught sewing classes at numerous festivals, hosted many quilting retreats, and dedicates her time to furthering the love of quilting in our community.

Shannon's love of bright, happy color and talent for combining a broad mix of patterns really shines in her Curated for Corn Wagon fat quarter bundle. She built on the new True Kisses collection by Heather Bailey (in-store now!), adding wovens, a cute gingham and other bright basics for some varied interest. You can add this fabulous Curated by Corn Wagon bundle to your stash for just $39.99 while supplies last!
