It's a Free Motion Feather Frenzy! Machine Quilting Special!
If you're a true quilter, you've got more than one quilt top in need of quilting. You see, we have no problem buying fabric and we usually don't waste much time starting new projects. It's the finishing that we often struggle with. Quilters are famous for having multiple quilts in the final stages of the process. Well, now's the time to get those quilt tops in to our machine quilting artists for finishing! It's not often that we offer discounts on our machine quilting services but golly, have we got a good one going on now! It's a free motion feather frenzy!
Our lead quilting specialist, Ramona Sorensen is offering six of her signature feather designs at 10% off the cost of quilting service! Bring your quilt top in and request one of Ramona's hand-guided feather designs before August 31, 2022 for this limited offer. These are not computer generated designs. Ramona skillfully guides our quilting machine by hand which means your feathers will have a lovely organic flow. With six feather varieties to choose from you can select something that leans more masculine or feminine, traditional or modern, sophisticated or sweet.
The quilt below was made by Ramona to test the blocks she designed for our Shop Hop 2022 Quilt. She choose solid tints, tones and shades of her favorite color, purple, to piece a mix of hashtag blocks. It turned into a fun opportunity to showcase her different feather styles horizontally from edge to edge. Stop in and see the different feather options side by side on the same quilt! Moody purple storm clouds made a surprise appearance just in time for a sunset photo shoot.
Once you have selected a feather variety, you can decide which feather pattern best speaks to your quilt. Edge-to-edge feathers can fill your quilt in an all over meander pattern or run side to side or top to bottom. Hand guided quilting allows for back and forth, directional feathers to interlock smoothly between alternating rows and swirls. No two feathers are exactly alike! These patterns usually start at $.025 per square inch. Each quilt is quoted on a case by case basis so some exceptions may apply.
The quilt below is another example of side to side feathers, this time featuring the Petal Feather variation edge-to-edge without an echo outline. It's a simple, modern design that softens the hard geometric lines in this fun throw quilt designed by Ramona. What do you think? For the bright Tula Pink quilt (below), designed by Ramona for a magazine, she addressed each of the oversized half-square triangle blocks with a curled feather, then framed the entire quilt with a half feather in the border. These options start at $.03 per square inch and through August 31st they will be included in our 10% off sale!

Granny's Scrappy Rows Class It's the PERFECT scrap-buster! In this two day course, you'll learn to piece this traditional quilt in a non-traditional way.
