Techniques from Primitive to Modern -- Add a New Skill to Your Repertoire

Learn Something New at Corn Wagon Too!

As makers we tend to look for the latest and greatest in modern sewing techniques to build our skill set and accelerate efficiency but it's also important to learn from more traditional crafts. Bringing simplicity and time honored methods into our sewing education offers a firm foundation and an appreciation for the past.

At our Schoolhouse you'll find classes teaching techniques from Primitive to Modern so you can add new skills to your repertoire based on your current interest and needs. Here are three upcoming opportunities that span the makers spectrum from classical to contemporary methods.

Primitive Rug Hooking

Learn the art of primitive rug hooking while
creating one of these beautiful “rugs.”
You’ll enjoy learning all about this historic craft
from our wool expert, Marianne Michaels.
Your project can be made into a wall hanging,
pillow, table topper, or a rug for the floor.
Choose from a variety of complete kits (sold separately)
available at the shop to get started in class.

Thursday April 20th, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

at the Schoolhouse
