4 Longarm Quilting Specialists = Variety and Shorter Turn Around!

Longarm Quilting Service has been an important part of Corn Wagon Quilt Co. since the beginning, but never before have we had a team of four quilters on staff, each with their own flair for adding just the right finishing touch to a quilt! More longarm quilters on staff means added depth to our variety and a faster turnaround time. Let me introduce our two custom, free-motion professionals and two edge-to-edge experts!

Ramona Sorensen is a nationally recognized quilter. She has been quilting at the Corn Wagon for 16 years and we are indeed lucky to have her as part of our team. Her original pattern designs and machine quilting have been published more than 50 times in several quilting magazines including Quilters’ Newsletter, McCalls Quilting, Quilt Magazine, Fons & Porter and American Patchwork & Quilting. She has over 100 original, free hand & medallion designs and many more options and ideas to choose from. She is known to lay a quilt out for a time and allow it to tell her what it needs. Ramona would be happy to sit down and have a quilt consultation with you to discuss the endless possibilities!

Natalie Smith is new to our long arm team but you'll recognize her smiley countenance as one of our Corn Wagon shop gals as well as the designer of our 2024 Saturday Sampler mystery quilt. Natalie has been delving into all things quilty for many years. Besides cranking out quilt blocks and tops, Natalie loves to design patterns (ella + charming). Taking the next step into long arm quilting was a no brainer for Natalie and she is loving the creativity involved in free-motion, custom work. I heard a rumor that she enjoys ruler work as much as a playful edge-to-edge design but most of all, she enjoys the challenge of adding unique personality to each quilt. When she's not quilting, she's cross stitching, reading or making the most of being mom to her five children.

Dorene Cole is a wizard with computerized quilting designs and we are delighted to share her services through the Corn Wagon. Trained by Gina Perkes, world renowned quilter and owner of The Copper Needle in Arizona, Dorene fell in love with the precision of computerized quilting and has since become an expert. Dorene owns an INNOVA quilting machine that produces high-quality digital designs for beautiful edge-to-edge quilting. Come in and see our catalog of possibilities! From basic meanders to themed designs, traditional styles to modern geometrics, Dorene's library of options is sure to have just the design your next quilt needs.

Randi Deem is the newest member of our team but she is certainly not new to quilting. You may recognize this friendly lady as the owner of the Stitching Room in Richfield, Utah. We are delighted to welcome her to our staff as both a shop employee and long-arm quilter! Randi has been quilting for 10 years and it has become a part of who she is. "Quilting is a place for healing, camaraderie, friendship, creativity and so much more," was her response when asked why she loves to quilt, "Honestly, I love seeing the personality that comes through in each individual quilt." Randi owns a Gammilll Optimum with Statler and specializes in computerized E2E quilting. She would love to chat with you about what she can do to help finish your quilt to fit your personality.

Whatever your quilting needs may be, our quilting professionals are ready to help you finish your next project with a flourish. Bring your quilt top into the shop and let us help you select the right batting (we have lots on hand to choose from), thread color and quilting motif. If you live far away, you'll find our quilting order form online here. Simply print it, fill it out, and give us a call for further instructions and we'll watch for your quilt to arrive by mail! For current turnaround time, give us a call at 801-491-3551.
