What are your plans for the 4th of July? Do they involve some patriotic sewing? I'll be headed into the mountains for some relaxing time to reflect and you better believe that will involve some slow stitching in the woods. Any time I hit the road, my little handwork bag goes along for the ride. Sometimes it's wool applique. Other times it's hand piecing. I pack a pouch with fabric pieces and keep tiny scissors, a few coordinating threads, needles (I'm bound to lose at least one) and some thimble pads -- that's it -- I'm all ready for campfire quilt-making. This time I'll be hand-piecing some Pick-a-Petal blocks for the Jen Kingwell BOM (more on that in a moment). First, let's talk about our Patriotic Sale-bration going on this weekend!
