First of all, we hope you enjoy Independence Day, and we wish you a bit of quality quilting time this holiday weekend. The Corn Wagon Gals are taking a few days off to spend time with loved ones (that includes our sewing machines, right? -- after all, my Bernina is named after my Grandma Beverlee and her 4th of July BBQs were the best). We'll see you back at the shop Monday!
Next, I'd like to ask a question. Why Christmas in July? You hear it every year. Is it because it's too darn hot outside and snow sounds pretty nice about now? Maybe. Is it because I need a reminder, as Charles Dickens says, to "honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year?" Probably. Is it because that's when all the cute Christmas fabric arrives each year? Definitely. Afterall, now is the time to get the holiday sewing projects going! Before the rush gets all too real... before the longarm Christmas queue is full... before the fabric is gone... while you can still take your time and enjoy the process. Christmas in July just makes sense for quilters and we're ready for it.

Sew-It-All Weekend - Aug 1st & 2ndWe want all of our Sew-It-All friends to join us as we Sew-It-All Weekend in August! Your registration fee includes lunch both days so you can sew non-stop at our retreat center. You will also receive a Sew-It-All pass good for exclusive discounts at the shop during the event! Bring ANY sewing project that needs finishing and we will be there to lend advice and help you trouble shoot. With two whole days dedicated to finishing projects you really can be a Sew-It-All. Next weekend... Marsha's most beloved feathered friends will arrive to celebrate her birthday in the pinkest way possible! You're invited to our annual Pink Party Sale next Friday and Saturday, July 11th & 12th. As you can see, the flock has grown to a rather unmanageable size. We've decided it may be time for them to go to another flamingo-loving home. Would you open your heart to one of our pink friends? We'll be hosting a flamingo adoption event during the Pink Party! When you make a donation of any size to Marsha's selected charity, you can choose one of Marsha's prized pet flamingos to take home with you. Even $1.00 can make a difference! It's going to be hard for her to say goodbye. It will be easier knowing they can sit next to someone's sewing machine and feel right at home.
