We like to keep you on your toes with new things hitting the shop on the regular! New quilts (always with kits), new programs (the latest and greatest), and new events (fun for all sewists), are here to keep our quilting community inspired and engaged with the art of quilting.

Let's start with a new quilt. Spacious Skies is a classic cutie whose kit comes packaged in a collectable box. Designed by Lori Holt, this quilt holds all the small-print scrap factor that gives a nod to yesterday's heirlooms. It's what Lori is known for! Call it patriotic, call it sunshine, this one is everything a summertime quilt should be. Pieced by Kristy Johnson and quilted by Chelsea Hilton, this new beauty is on display now with kits available online and in-store.

If you love the Spacious Skies quilt, you'll also want to take a look at the Oh Beautiful Flag Runner & Amber Waves Mini Quilt Kit (below). This "Bee Cute" project box includes patterns and fabric for two projects! The flag runner and mini quilt top are made using Lori's pretty Americana fabric. The finished runner is 26" x 56" and the finished mini quilt size is 33" x 39". Because these are precut friendly designs, they offer bits and pieces of every fabric from this fantastic line!

Vendor Registration is Now Open!
Our next big event coming up... The Fall S.A.B.L.E. Sale is just one month away! We have lots of room for vendors. Register for a parking stall online here or contact the shop and get ready to set up your own destash sale in our parking lot Saturday, September 6th, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.! Bring anything sewing related from your stash that you're ready to part with. Set your own prices and manage your own transactions. S.A.B.L.E. Syndrome is real. We have experience and we're ready to help!




And now for a new block of the month! Flower Box Friends Club is a wool BOM program designed by Darci Schipnewski of Pastthyme Patterns. This 12-month club features a different wool appliqué flower block monthly. Each round flower block is referred to as a “Petal” that measures approximately 8" in diameter. The variety of flowers (including holiday favorites) and the versatility of the blocks will make this a favorite for seasons to come. For a fun way to display your petals, we're offering an optional kit, sold separately, for the black, square background with surrounding wool pennies. 

Each month you will receive a kit containing 5” wool squares to make the featured flower, plus 10” x 10” cream and black wool squares for the backgrounds. Patterns will be included in your August and January kits with instructions for each six-month season. Threads are sold separately. We have an optional thread kit available that includes Valdani pearl cottons in colors we recommend for this BOM.

These small, easy to manage kits are great for wool applique beginners or for those who love to stitch on the go!
