Am I the only one craving fall fabrics? That surely cannot be! Give me all the cozy softness that autumn demands. Flannel is a must-have for fall and quilts are no exception. For piecing, always make sure your flannels are quilter's quality cotton to ensure their structure and softness last for many cold seasons to come. "Quilter's quality" ensures a higher thread count, stay-fast dyes, and a quality brushed texture that other flannels do not offer. It's what you need for heirloom sewing that stands the test of time through years of quilty love.
Mercantile Flannels by Pam Budda have arrived from Marcus Fabrics and they are oh, so lovely! You can count on Pam to deliver gorgeous traditional designs -- this time in flannel! We also carry Primo Plaid flannels by Marcus Fabrics. They're ideal when you need something a bit more masculine or for an extraordinarily soft backing. This range of cool blues is new to the shop! Find more Primo Plaids in-store and online here.
We do appreciate a little sunshine in the fall and this sweet collection is here to prove it. Sherbet Sunshine flannel, that's right, it's flannel by Coriander Quilts!
Kristy Johnson put together this rainbow of sunny softness using the Sherbet Sunshine collection. Around Town is a pattern by Cory Yoder that is fast and fun to sew up! This one is sure to be loved by Kristy's new grandbaby but at 60" x 70," this quilt could be a spot of brightness for "kids" of all ages. We have a limited number of kits available!

Going on Now thru September 27thLooking for something quilty to do this weekend? Visit the Historic Peteetneet Museum for the annual Payson Quilt Show. It's always a beautiful showcase from talented local quilters. Celebrate quilts of all sizes, styles and skill levels. Inspiration abounds! Visit their website paysonquiltshow.com for all the info including their full event schedule. Hope to see you there!

Speaking of fun quilts for kids... We can't get enough of the adorable patterns from Apples and Beavers! Astrid has such a creative way of offering her designs. Many of them have additions you can add to the original pattern via PDF downloads on her website! For example, you could add fairies to your Unicorn Garden or accessories to make your Unicorn unique! She also offers pattern blender ideas to inspire you to combine elements from her various designs. Clever, right? We have restocked two of our favorite kits, Duck March (below) and Unicorn Garden (above) both made by Cymoni Whatcott for her cute grandkids!
