So, how are your 2025 goals coming along? I'm giggling as I ask because I know where I stand on the topic. I'm not even sure that I remember what my goals were! I guess that's why they say to write them down, organize a plan, maybe team up with a friend to hold you accountable. Hmmm... Well, there's always next year. It just so happens that 2026 is coming right up! Raise your hand if you could use a little help with some new quilt goals. You can't see it, but my hand is way up.

We have some great ideas coming your way for the new year and they all involve a little help from our quilting community. Here's what we have so far, with more to come!

Let's start from the very beginning! Do YOU want to learn how to piece a quilt or maybe brush up on the basics? Our Beginning Piecing Course is the perfect place to start. Meet Suzanne Jackman and Lynette Christensen at Corn Wagon Too, where they'll teach you everything you need to know to select fabrics, measure and cut accurately, sew blocks like a pro, and finish a quilt top. During this course you will make the beautiful Garden Stars Sampler by Sherri McConnell. It's full of the techniques you'll need in almost any other quilt pattern. This 8-week session runs every Wednesday, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. beginning Jan. 7th and ending Feb. 25th. If perfecting your piecing skills is one of your goals, this is the place to begin!

Time to set a Dear Jane Resolution! If you took our class from Karen Averett, and would like to set aside some time dedicated to finishing, we invite you to "sit-and-sew" with us here at the Schoolhouse. This unique, pay-as-you-go opportunity gives you flexibility to join us when you can! Wherever you may be in your Dear Jane journey, spend the evening sewing with others who are determined to make big progress on this quilt masterpiece. This is not a class; simply time to gather and sew every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Karen. $10 per session when you reserve your seat in advance or $15 per session when you pay upon arrival. Choose the dates that work best for you beginning January 2026!

Our longest running BOM club, the 2^nd Wednesday Club has roots in our earliest days of business more than 25 years ago. Some have been with us since the beginning, others are new members, all are friends with a common love for quilt-making.  By participating in a block-of-the-month program, this 12-month club focuses on making a new quilt each year. Fun extras include: finishing and sharing UFO projects, show-and-tell, and on-time drawing and yummy treats! New member registration is $35. Returning member registration is $25. For 2026 we will be making the Sunburst Gardens Quilt designed by Quilted Carpenter. Our unique red, white and blue version will feature fabrics from the Firework Fields collection as well as solids and basics by Riley Blake Designs. Making the quilt is optional. The kit may be purchased for $269.99 and will include the pattern and monthly fabric bundles for the duration of the 12 month club.
