But first... we've reached the final two days of Kit-mas. That was fast! If you've missed our daily posts featuring quick and easy project kits for the season, don't fret! We still have many of the kits available until supplies run out. Pillowcases, ornaments, wooly snowmen, snack bags and more! Pop into the shop and see what's in-store for you and those on your handmade gift list.

GARDEN SAMPLER BOM: Do you love Pen + Paper Patterns? Do you love Spring? Do you love pretty colored quilts? If you answered yes to any of these, this is the Block of the Month for you! Natalie Smith will teach this fun, nine-month class, with small-waste cutting instructions, advice for working with solids and prints, and tips on how to align your fabrics so you get the result you want. Each month there will be a pdf of all the tips given in class, a picture of Natalie's blocks, and lots of tips on sewing and making your quilt unique. The 4-hour sewing class at our Schoolhouse will begin January 8th and run monthly through September, 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. BONUS: We'll have a free sewing session on October 1st! DEAR JANE RESOLUTION 2026: Set a goal to finish your Dear Jane quilt in 2026! If you took our class from Karen Averett, and would like to set aside some time dedicated to finishing, we invite you to "sit-and-sew" with us here at the Schoolhouse. This unique, pay-as-you-go opportunity gives you flexibility to join us when you can! Wherever you may be in your Dear Jane journey, spend the evening sewing with others who are determined to make big progress on this quilt masterpiece. This is not a class; simply time to gather and sew every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Karen.

MINKI KIM BAG OF THE MONTH SERIES: Minki Kim is known for her darling fabric and pattern designs and we're in love with her new bag patterns! So much so that we will be making one a month with guidance from bag-making expert Shelley Taylor at our Schoolhouse. Sign up for a three-month session for just $90 and enjoy 3 hours of sewing every 3rd Thursday, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., January - March, with in-person instruction. For our first session we will make a Travel Case for a Mini Iron, a Flying Geese Pouch and a Weekend Sling Bag. Stay tuned for three more quarterly sessions you can join, each featuring three new Minki Kim bag designs!


Our longest running BOM club has roots in our earliest days of business more than 25 years ago. Some have been with us since the beginning, others are new members, all are friends with a common love for quilt-making.  By participating in a block-of-the-month program, this 12-month club focuses on making a new quilt each year. Fun extras include: on-time drawing, finishing and sharing UFO projects, show-and-tell and yummy treats! 

Something new is coming your way for 2nd Wednesday 2026! We will be making the Sunburst Gardens Quilt designed by Quilted Carpenter. Our unique red, white and blue version will feature fabrics from the Firework Fields collection and basics by Riley Blake Designs. Your kit will include the pattern and monthly fabric bundles for the duration of the 12 month program. Contact the shop to register for this club and reserve your kit by placing a deposit today.
